Government Documents and Statistics in the Library

Beeghly Library collects a number of government documents in print form on the second floor of the library. They can be found by searching the catalog. The catalog also includes links to a number of online government documents.

You can limit the catalog's search to just government information by clicking the "Limit your search (optional)" link, which caused a number of filters, including one for government publications, to appear.

Government documents use a different call number system than the rest of the library, where the first letter represents the department that published the information. Departments publishing information that relating to criminal justice include:

  • HS: Homeland Security
  • J: Justice Department
  • JU: Judiciary
