This is the digitized Monumentum Germaniae Historia, one of the most important series publications in medieval history. This series is a collection of critical editions of primary source documents. Documents are organized into series publications. [IMPORTANT NOTE: These are untranslated documents – all are transcriptions of Latin text with Latin or German commentary.]

The Perseus Project from Tufts University is a digital collection of primary sources, both in their original languages and in translation. The “Germanic” section includes transcriptions and translations of Viking Sagas, Beowulf, and other documents. The “Classics” section includes Roman works, which tell us about early English history.
