Beeghly Library | Heidelberg University: About Beeghly Library

About Beeghly Library

Beeghly Library was built in 1967 in order to take over as library from the previous Carnegie Library, Pfleiderer. Many students, faculty, and staff helped to hand over each book one at a time from Pfleiderer to Beeghly. Beeghly's midcentury modern design and architecture is a striking feature of our campus. Now the Beeghly Learning Commons, the building not only houses our library services, but also the Owen Center for Teaching and Learning as well as Hype Career Ready. In this way, Beeghly is able to provide for students needs whether it be Academic Support, Advising, Study Abroad, Career Services, or Accessibility.
